Subject: Announcement of New President, Leavenworth Regional Catholic School System (LRCSS)
Dear Faculty, Staff, Parents and Friends of the Leavenworth Regional Catholic Schools,
The Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the newest member to the LRCSS family. The selection committee, with representation from the Pastors, Parents, Teachers, Parishioners, Sisters of Charity, Alumni and the Board of Trustees, is extremely pleased to report the new hire of Mr. Aaron Hund, as President of the Leavenworth Regional Catholic School System.
Aaron is an alumni of our school system, graduating from Immaculata High School in 1992. He then attended Kansas State University, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1996. Aaron spent nearly 10 years working in the agricultural business industry prior to returning to Kansas State University (KSU) in 2005. From 2005 to 2011, he led major gift development programs for the KSU Foundation and The Livestock and Meat Industry Council. Aaron transitions to his new role with the LRCSS from his most recent responsibilities as an Agent with Shelter Insurance Company.
Aaron is an active Catholic member of Immaculate Conception-St. Joseph Parish. His daughter Kelcey will be a 6th Grade Student this year at Xavier Catholic School. Aaron resides in Leavenworth.
The LRCSS BOT also welcomes Shannon Sanford. Shannon, one of our Preschool Teachers, and already a part of our LRCSS family, has joined our Development Office as the new Development Director. Shannon and her family are members of the Sacred Heart-St. Casimir Parish. Shannon and her husband Klaus are the parents of Leona, a 3rd Grade Student, Garrett, a 1st Grade Student, and Lyla, who will be a Preschool student, all in our Xavier Catholic School System.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our departing Development Office Personnel. To Ellen Hustings, thank you for over 12 years of dedicated service to our school system. We wish you happiness and many blessings in your retirement. To Julie Horosko, McKayla Moore, and Denise Portice, thank you and best wishes in your future endeavors.
As we always do, we place our trust in the Lord and in each of you, our dedicated community. We thank you for your continued support and for the opportunity at the beginning of this new school year, to continue to carry the positive message of our school system throughout the Leavenworth County community. We ask for your continued support that enables us to make our schools a great place for our children.
We ask that you pray for God’s blessings on our students, their families, staff, and faculty. We ask for God’s prayers, and that the Lord will continue to show love and favor to our LRCSS. In prayer for all,
Board of Trustees, LRCSS, Inc.
